Feed
Ration Formulation
Service
Over the
past several years we have
tested, used and distributed top
quality supplement products for
Caprine and other
species.
These
products include mineral &
vitamin supplements, direct - fed
microbials, and various
nutritional 'support' products to
aid in the health and general
well being of livestock in
general and goats in
specific.
The
products that we have been able
to make available to our
customers have been formulated by
the only Board Certified Caprine
Nutritionist in the United
States.
We are
pleased to tell you about the new
pelleted mineral. This now allows
breeders to include mineral &
vitamin supplements INTO their
rations without the problem of
the settling out of
'fines'.
In
addition to the new pelleted
supplement we can now offer you
enzymes to assist in the
digestion and utilization of the
hemicellulose in your forage
foods and another enzymes to aid
in the usage of fats (this one is
especially good to put in the
rations of nursing stock or high
producing dairy
animals).
Along
with the addition of new products
we can now offer a 'custom feed
ration' formulation service to
our customers.
To be
quite frank, even with the
quality of nutrition we have been
offering our herd we have seen
positive results since feeding
our newly balanced rations. We
have actually been able to cut
BACK the volume of feed given to
our herd while at the same time
increasing their level of
health.
Figuring
the decrease in the volume of
feed offered our herd against the
increase price of our feed per
ton with the addition of the new
feed items we have actually
DECREASED THE COST of our feed
per head per day.
Hard to
imagine but we are feeding BETTER
for LESS.
If the
concept of improving your feeding
ration and their by improving the
over all well being of your herd
interests you - we would be happy
to talk to you about the
process.
Please
write or email us for further
discussion.

My goats
are really starting to look
great!!!! I think that the
supplements and feed ration are
doing wonders for them. Well it's
time to reorder and I was
wondering if you could get the
supplements out to us. We will
need to have our feed mixed and
ready by March 18th. Hope I've
given you enough time.

This was
posted to one of the goat
lists:
Back in
December I had problems with
Tonka and MOMA having triplets
and almost loosing Tonka. I'm
proud to say that Tonka was put
with the TAU yesterday because
she was driving him crazy. During
the time Tonka was ill, Paulette
of Triquest started to talk with
John and I about our feeding
program. We purchased several
products from them the Rebound,
Imuno-G, and Transition Gel I
attribute these products to have
help saved Tonka. John and I
decided it was a long shot but we
felt we wanted to go for it,
having our feed formulated since
our feed was so inadequate. Wythe
formulated a feed ration for
us,..... We started using the
feed about 4 weeks ago, and we
are amazed at how our animal are
looking. In 4 weeks time my
animals coats are changing, to
soft and shinny, my whites are
getting whiter and the reds are
getting redder. In the past I've
been feeding 100 lbs.. per day to
60 goats, I'm now feeding 80 lbs.
and plan to cut back more after
everyone has their babies. My
babies are larger and the nannies
bags are bigger, yesterday We
weaned some babies that are 3
months old and probably weigh
70-75 lbs. this is unusual for us
in the past our 3 months old
weigh about 45-50lbs. Our feed is
textured and I don't know how it
will be in the summer, if need to
I'll it have milled in 500lbs.
instead of 1 ton if needed. If
you are having problems or
questions about your feeding
program please contact Paulette
........... these people know
what they are talking about.
Paulette I Thank You again for
taking the time to talk with us
so much......LC
........I
also sent two bags with Mary
Guillory as she has one of my
bucks at her farm, and she wanted
to try her Harlequin (her top doe
that she almost lost to Ketosis a
few weeks ago) on it as well. She
called me this morning to tell me
that Victor (my buck) flatly
refused to eat any more pellets -
would spit them back out, and
snarf up all the "new" feed.
Guess that tells US, right? So,
it looks like he'll go on the
"new" feed all at once, his
choice. (He does have hay free
choice and plenty of clean, fresh
water). She went on to say he
seemed more content and less
aggressive - not like he didn't
feel good, just
"content."
I
noticed a similar phenomenon in
my goats last night (my nursing
moms and show does get feed twice
a day) - they settled in to a
feeder and ate instead of taking
a mouthful here, then trying the
next feeder and so forth. Totally
different feeding
habits!.....RC
